Tanis begins to switch between his visors again but avoids using the infrared visor as that would most likely blind him.

The only thing Tanis can see at first is the sand, but then, he sees a life source far off in the distance, a tiny white dot on his Bioscanner, among a mass of black, dead sand.

Tansi make shis way towards the source of life at a steady jog staying alert for anything that could be a potential threat.

As Tanis draws closer to the life source, he begins to get a better idea of it's size. Whatever it is was heading toward him at an insane speed, growing larger every second, and soon he could make out that it's shape was almost a perfect circle.

Tansi increases his speed using the force and ignites both of his sabers he settles into an emotionless state as he draws closer to this thing.

Finally, Tanis can make out enough of the creature to tell it is underground, and at least as big around as an average starfighter. As he crests a sand dune, he sees the creature burrowing toward him, and the ridge of sand it pushes up rushing forward.

Tanis watches for a second before concentrating tightly and using a highly focused force push he fashions it into a bolt of sorts and aims right in front of the beast so as to hit it, he unleashes the attack after a few seconds and then places a hand in the sand and and attempts to send a shoch wave to the beast to push it out of the earth.

The creature seems to completely ignore the attacks, and continues to barrel toward Tanis. When it approaches closely enough, it begins to dive, and Tanis can see it's true size. The creature is nearly an eighth of a mile long, and around 15 feet thick. The ground shakes, and Tanis stumbles, falling to the ground, and his hand hits something hard.

Tanis sees, half buried in the sand, a human skeleton, with a bag strapped to its back.

Tanis finds six Thermal Detonators and a large Detonation pack. Jsut then, the beast turns underground and begins racing upward, toward Tanis.

Tanis focuses his attention dowward and pulls out the remote detonator and holds the bag in his left hand as he prepares to jump.

The beast begins to burst up out of the ground, and the scene around Tanis become one of utter horror, as the sand begins to fall away below him and thousands upon thousands or whirling, gnashing teeth, each a foot long, begin to rise up around him.

tanis drops the bag of thermal detonators and using the force and every ounce of his strength he jumps upwards as he presses the button on the detonator to set off the thermals in the bag, he erects a barrier around himself as he does so.

For a moment, one horrible moment, Tanis thought the explosives had failed. He flew upward, and moved to not be directly above the wyrm, but it kept coming, until at least half it's length had shot out of the ground, and it's height had far passed his own jump. Then, finally, it detonated. Like a thousand guns going off at once, the explosion ripped open the beast, sending blood, guts, chunks of flesh, and even parts of it meals flying through the air, covering the sand with a sickening goo.

Tanis sneers and as he lands he looks at the wyrm closely and begins to switch between visors knwoing there had to be more enemies around here somewhere.

As Tanis stands there, looking around, he sees movement amongst the wyrm's remains. A split second later, the carcass suddenly starts seething, as if it were being boiled from the inside.

Tanis draws his sabers and activates them both the short saber once again in a reverse grip, he goes back to hte noraml visor and wait in a ready stance to see what was happening.

Suddenly, all hell breaks loose, as the Wyrm's body burst apart into hundreds of peices, hundreds upon hundreds of smaller wyrms flying out of the carcass and dissappearing into the earth below. The sand began to shift and boil as the creatures ate away at the deserts foundations.

Tanis roars in rage and attempts to lift as many of the creatures from out of the ground as possible and then slash them to bits while unleashing a force scream towards the ground.

The shockwave causes vibrations that shake many of the creatures to the point of death, but each death, each cuts, only releases more of the beasts. Also, when surfaced, Tanis can see heavy scales of the beasts hides. His lightsaber is unable to find a spot to hit on any of the wyrms, they are far to fast and small. The sand continues to churns and sink below him.

Tanis begins to push the creatures into the others mouths and hopes they don't mind what they have for dinner. He then unleashes force lightning at one of the larger ones to see what affect it has on the beasts.

The lightning simply bounces off the creatures scales. suddenly, the sand begins to buckle, and heats up, just as a spray of molten rock sprays from underneath the sand, pooling around tanis, not five feet away in any direction.

Tanis jumps out of the pooling molten lava and begins to pile the creatures into it to see what happens, he was getting angry quickly, he lets off a massive force scream hoping to kill the creatures once and for all.

the creatures simply ignore the scream, and strangely enough, emerge unscathed from the lava, their scales steaming, but no harm done. Even stranger, th ecreature begin to turn on each other, eating their borthers, and the remain's of the dead wyrm Tanis had killed. With eat bite, the wyrms grow larger, but also slower.

Tanis can find no simple way to kill the creatures, but he does realize that now they are large enough to target with his saber. Even as he thinks this, the five remaining wyrms rise up on every side of him, each now as big around as two humans, and far longer, each rearing back their ugly heads to strike.

Tanis deactivates his sabers and throws them into the air before pulling his pistols to his hands and spinning on the spot aiming fo rthe back of the beasts mouths he begins to fire rapidly and jump in the same motion.

The inside of the beasts mouth is as well armored as the outside, and the blaster bolts simpl bounce harmlessly off the scales.

tanis quickly puts away his pistols and pulls the sabers back to his hands and waits for the beasts to come down then he will begin to hit them rapidly with his sabers and try to avoid becoming bantha fodder.

The largest beast lunges at him, and Tanis is able to hit it squarely at the base of the neck, but it seems even the power of the Beacon of Hope cannot peirce the beasts scales, and his saber literally shatters, sending bursts of energy bouncing around the area. The beast howls and dives back below the lava.

Tanis keeps moving and examines his saber quickly as he tries to reactivate it. He pushes himself into goign faster and tightly focuses another force push into a bolt and aims it at one of the other beasts as he releases it.

The saber quickly reignites, but allt he attack does is make the beast recoil slightly. A second later, the largest wyrm rises up from the lava, howling, it's eyes and mouth steaming as it writhes in pain. where Tanis hit it, he can see a single, glowing hot hole where a scale had chipped off. The wyrm was burning alive from the inside.

Tanis charges a second beast wiht the beacon saber and aims for the neck area again he puts a lot of strength behind the hit, he would jump backwards and away from the rest of the beasts after his attack.

The beast Tanis hits also retreats into the lava, but this time it never resurfaces. The first beast collapses across the small island Tanis is standing on.
